Rangers arrest five ‘most-wanted’ criminals

Suspects revealed that they have been working at notorious drug dealer Kashif Dad’s den in Old Golimar since 2016

The Sindh Rangers and police have arrested five most-wanted criminals allegedly involved in drug trafficking, target killing, extortion and robbery.

The arrests were made during joint intelligence-based operations in Old Golimar and Malir areas. Weapons were also recovered from the possession of Muhammad Amir alias Mota, Arsalan alias Mitho, Rehman, Muhammad Hamza and Daniel. During interrogation, the suspects revealed that they had been working at notorious drug dealer Kashif Dad’s den in Old Golimar since 2016. The suspects confessed that in addition to drug trafficking, they would also extort a monthly Rs.10,000 to Rs.15,000 from Marble Market, auto garage hotel and various shops in Old Golimar. According to the Rangers’ spokesperson, apart from extortion, the suspects have been involved in killing and injuring anti-drug officials by firing on them.

“The arrested suspects opened fire in Old Golimar on August 28, 2021, to spread fear and panic. As a result, a man named Asif Ali was injured,” the spokesperson stated. He added that the arrested accused have been involved in over 300 thefts, robberies and snatching of mobile phones in Old Golimar, Saddar, Lasbela, Nazimabad, and Liaquatabad areas The spokesperson said the suspects have been arrested and jailed by the police and Rangers several times before.

However, when they are released, they resume drug trafficking, extortion and robbery.
