Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar said that illegal detention, police abuse of powers and misbehavior with citizens will not be tolerated at any cost.
The CCPO directed senior officers of Lahore police including DIG operations, DIG investigation, SSPs of operations and investigation wings to hold surprise visits of police stations to check the performance of personnel deputed as well as to redress the grievances of the complainants.
He further directed divisional SPs to check the performance of their relevant police stations ensuring no pending applications of the complainants and timely registration of FIRs.

He further directed police officers to provide positive atmosphere to the citizens at police stations by improving their attitude towards citizens, cleanliness situation and planting flowers plants and trees in the premises.
The CCPO ordered police officers to depute special patrolling squads at hotspot areas and DSPs and SHOs to personally monitor the snap checking process in their areas of jurisdiction.
