A case has been registered against eight suspects, including three women, for extorting Rs100,000 cash from a young man by blackmailing him over nude photos.
Police said the young man was allegedly lured into meeting the suspects through a phone call he had received in the late hours of the night.
The victim, a resident of village 238GB Pathanwala, stated before the police that at 1:15am on September 5, he received a phone call from a woman who asked him to meet her at her residence.
“When I refused to meet her, another person called me and said he is calling from Shirazi Park on Juranwala Road and the woman who had called earlier had some important job for him,” he revealed adding that he reached the residence of the suspect.

“Soon I was surrounded by Mazhar, Samar, Nadeem, Kashif, Shaan and others who forcibly took me inside a house at gunpoint where Sonu, wife of Samar Abbas, Sobia, daughter of Jafar, and Shazia, wife of Raja, forcibly took off my clothes and filmed me in a compromised condition,” the victim detailed.
The victim alleged that Kashif said he is posted in CIA Makwana to scare him and asked him to call his father for Rs1 lakh as ransom for release.
The Express Tribune has learnt that the suspects, posing as police officials, rob innocent citizens and blackmail them over their forcefully taken objectionable photos.

SHO Rana Omar said the identified suspects have formed a gang which uses women as pawns to trap young men.
