A landlord allegedly raped the 15-year-old daughter of his tenants in the Chak Madad area in the jurisdiction of Ratta Amral police station. The police arrested the suspect on Wednesday while his remand will be obtained from the court.
The police officials said the mother of the victim hails from Faisalabad and moved to the Chak Madad area on rent a few months ago. The complainant said she heard her daughter screaming from the rooftop around 10 pm on August 24. When she reached there, the victim was crying.
Upon inquiry, the teenager said that the landlord, Sohail, has molested her. The police immediately registered a case after receiving the complaint and booked the suspect.

The officials said that the medical examination of the victim was done at the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital and they will get the report today (Thursday).
They added that the suspect’s physical remand will be obtained from the court so that the DNA test may be conducted.
Rawal Division SP Ziauddin said violence with women and children is an intolerable act. He added that the assertions of the complainant are being investigated through traditional and scientific methods.
