TANDLIANWALA:

A man was stabbed to death after he tried to bar the attacker from meeting his wife in Tandlianwala on Monday.

The deceased reportedly had repeatedly told the suspect not to see his wife. Police took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for postmortem.

They also carried out raids to arrest the suspected killer who had fled after the attack.

According to the police, the son of the deceased, a resident of Chak No. 411GB, informed Tandlianwala Sadar police that the suspect Pervez Anwar had relations with his mother Zeba Bibi.

The complainant said, “My father Musa Mamand, 46, warned Pervez to refrain from his objectionable activities. The suspect along with Azam and Rafiq, while arguing with my father, stabbed him and severely injured him. He was rushed to hospital for treatment, where he succumbed to his injuries.”

Sadar police reached the spot and shifted the body to the hospital for post mortem.

Area SHO Khalid Pervez alleged that the suspect had an affair with the wife of the slain man. The deceased and his son used to warn the accused to stop visiting her. This led to a fight, during which Pervez along with Rafiq and Azam stabbed Musa and he died of the wounds.

A case has been registered against the suspect under Sections 302 and 34 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).

Earlier this year in April, a young man was stabbed to death and another injured during an altercation that took place at a warehouse on Jhang Road.

Local police reached the spot on information and arrested three suspects on charges of murder.

Thikriwala police handed over the body to the heirs after postmortem examination.

Muhammad Siddique, a resident of Chak No 287JB Palasour Toba, informed the police that his 21-year-old son Ali Hassan had left his home along with Osama, son of Afzal, and Ali Hassan, son of Lal Hussain, to visit Darbar Sufi Barkat Ali.

On the way, he went to meet his cousin Waqar Ilyas at Raja Bahadur Khan's store located in Chak No 67JB Sudhar.

“His cousin told him that he had a quarrel with Sufiyan, Usman, Imran and others after which my son Ali Hassan and others tried to manage reconciliation between the arguing groups, but he was stabbed,” he added
