FAISALABAD:

A man has been booked by police for allegedly sexually assaulting a young woman under the false promise of marriage and filming an objectionable video of her.

The complainant, a resident of Tariq Colony, Mamu Kanjan, stated in her application to Mamu Kanjan Police Station that she lives with her mother and sister after the death of her father.

She alleged that the suspect, Muhammad Ehsan alias Nomi, a resident of locality 599, had developed close relations with her.

In 2024, he allegedly entered her home when she was alone and, at gunpoint, sexually assaulted her and recorded an obscene video.

The complainant further stated that the accused later used the video to repeatedly exploit her, demanding money and forcing her to sign documents on plain paper after receiving Rs300,000.

Despite this, he did not delete the video.

She added that on May 13, the suspect again entered her home, assaulted her, and threatened to circulate the video among her relatives unless more money was paid. When she refused, he allegedly leaked the video online.

Police have registered a case under Sections 376 and 292-C of the Pakistan Penal Code and launched a search for the suspect.
