Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday lauded the effort of a brave policeman for saving a man who fell dangerously close on the platform as a train passes through a railway station.
He also shared a short video clip of the incident in which it can be seen that the police personnel immediately reached for the man's aid as he lies helplessly on the ground.
His prompt action and quick thinking avoided a certain catastrophe which the premier described as "sacred".

"This is where duty becomes sacred. Admiration for the commitment of the young policeman to serve the people," the prime minister wrote on his official Twitter handle along with the video of the incident.

This is not the first time the premier took to the microblogging site to appreciate such bravery. In June, PM Imran heaped praise on a head constable of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), who returned to work only two days after an on-duty injury, resulting in a fracture to his arm.

"I am very happy," the premier can be heard saying while meeting with Qaiser in a video released by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). "I saw [what you did] and read about it... a lot of people also appreciated your effort."

In April, the premier paid tribute to the country's police force for their "heroic stand" against organised violence by supporters of an ultra-right-wing political party.
I want to pay special tribute to our police force for their heroic stand against organised violence intended to create chaos to blackmail govt. 4 policemen were martyred & over 600 injured. Our nation is indebted to these heroes & we will look after the families of the martyrs.
