Govt to file plea against dismissal of objection
LAHORE:
The government is likely to file an intra court appeal (ICA) within a couple of days against the dismissal of its objections by the Lahore High Court (LHC) challenging the maintainability of the petition against the dual office of President Asif Zardari.
Advocate Talib H Rizvi, who heads the four member-panel of counsels representing the federation of Pakistan, said that they have drafted the appeal which would be filed in the LHC within a couple of days after getting instructions from the federation.
On Monday, the panel staged walkout from the LHC full bench after it dismissed their objections on writ petitions against President Zardari for holding office of PPP co-chairperson and president at the same time.
Talib said formation of the five-member full bench will also be challenged through the ICA
