MQM-P decries nepotism in govt jobs
Jobs reserved for the people of urban Sindh are being doled out to the residents of rural areas on the basis of fake domiciles and permanent residence certificates (PRCs), said Muttahidda Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khawaja Izharul Hassan.
In a petition filed before the Sindh High Court (SHC) the MQM-P MPA said that the process of issuing fake domiciles and PRCs should be stopped and investigation should be launched to identify people who have secured appointments through fake domiciles and PRCs.
A two-judge bench comprising Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Arshad Hussain Khan adjourned the hearing till August 16.

Talking to the media after the hearing, Hassan said a fake domicile can be acquired for Rs2,500. It is a shame that the government has not taken any action against the practice and people had to approach the court.
He said that the state of corruption in the Sindh government is such that 500 officers involved in NAB cases are in office. It is time to get rid of corrupt officials, he said, adding that these people would be removed through court order.
