The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Tuesday said it was targeting to take over the reins of Sindh government from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
"We want to inform PPP that elections are won and lost but we are adamant to take the province," said MQM-P Senior Deputy Convener Amir Khan.
The PPP regime has turned the city into ruins in past 12 years. The party has brought people booked in NAB cases to contest the elections, Amir said addressing an election rally at NA-249 constituency where by-elections are due on Thursday.
Besides the tested leaders, people are also searching for those who had claimed back in the 2018 elections that they will remain in Karachi after winning polls from the city. The 2018 elections were stolen, he alleged. MQM Deputy Convener Waseem Akhtar said that they will retake the 14 seats stolen from them during the 2018 elections. MQM-P candidate pinned hope on the zealous and passionate public to help the MQM-P to emerge triumphant on April 29.
