Says government committed to policy of transparent, impartial accountability

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has claimed that democratic institutions and the rule of law were stronger than ever. “The government led by Prime Minister Imran Khan is pursuing a policy of transparent and impartial accountability from day one to eliminate corruption from the country.”

Speaking to delegations at Governor's House led by Punjab Energy Minister Dr Akhtar Malik, Punjab HR&MA Minister Dr Ejaz Alam Augustine, Chaudhry Abdullah Tahir and Chaudhry Saleem Sadiq, he reiterated that corruption was disastrous for any country.

There is no future for corrupt elements in Pakistan and only the politics of transparency and honesty will prevail, Sarwar added. “It is the government's duty to protect laws and PM Imran Khan will not back down an inch from his principled and ideological politics.”

The government was committed to the policy of transparent and impartial accountability.

He stated that the supremacy of the Constitution and maintaining law in the country was the primary responsibility of the government which will be fulfilled at all costs. “The people are with democracy, rule of law and the government narrative.”

He further said no one can tolerate injustice with minorities in Pakistan and wherever there was an incident involving injustice with the minorities, the government took strict action.
