9th national rover moot opens in Mansehra
The 9th national scout boy association rover moot opened at Batrasi Pakistan Scouts Cadet College on Monday after a gap of over a decade.
The moot will continue till August 5. Around 800 scouts are participating in the moot training, of which over 100 are women who are taking part for the first time.
The moot is being organised after 13 years. Mansehra Chief Commissioner Sarfaraz Qamar Daha inaugurated the event while college principal Tauqeer Islam Iftikhar, Pakistan Scouts Information Secretary Akhat Munir and other scouts officials also attended the event.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief commissioner said that gathering scouts from across the country to one spot was to create a passion for selfless service. He added that the motto of the training was friendship forever.
Daha said the purpose of scouts’ training was to promote service with a sense of community service and humanity. He added the training is aimed at the creation of a dignified citizen and a society with a spirit of national service.
