Officials say coronavirus SOPs to be implemented

All 54 amusement parks in Rawalpindi will remain open on Eidul Azha holidays with the strict implementation of coronavirus. All parks will remain open from 9am to 10pm.

Ahead of Eid, amusement parks have been decorated with colourful lights and buntings besides being cleaned for the festive occasion.

Given the Covid-19 spread, visitors will be required to wear masks before entering parks.

The city administration has made special arrangements to admit children and families to Ayub Park, Jinnah Park, Rumi Park, Allama Iqbal Park, Shahbaz Sharif Park, and Ladies Park.

Attractions such as the Jungle Kingdom in Ayub Park has also been upgraded and more birds and animals have been brought in.

Many more interesting attractions have also been added to Ayub Park, including boating in both lakes, jumping castle, dodging car, pony horse riding, firing range, haunted house, computer games, mono train, and wildlife beauty.

In addition, the snake house has also been upgraded. All amusement parks will also have tuck shops open during the three holidays of Eid.

Combat helicopters and tank cannons have also been decorated on a corner of the park.

The culture of Pothohar, Kohsar, and Punjab has been highlighted in these parks to attract tourists.

Entrance to Ayub Park will be completely free, however, tickets have been fixed for sports equipment, dodging cars and jungle kingdom.

The chairlift in Patriata will also be opened from the first day of Eid. Securitu guards have also been deployed to ensure tight security around the recreational sites with the installation of closed-circuit television cameras at key locations to monitor families visiting the parks.
