Tragedy: Woman commits suicide
Doctors said she received a single shot in the chest which led to her death.
MANSEHRA:
A young married woman committed suicide over unknown reasons in the jurisdiction of Lassan Nawab Police Station on Friday night.
According to the police, Muhammad Ishtiak, a resident of Bareela village, said he was away from home when he was informed that his wife, 24-year-old Fatima Bibi, the mother of his young daughter, had shot herself in the chest and was in critical condition.
They said Ishtiak took her to King Abdullah Teaching Hospital Mansehra, where doctors pronounced her dead.
The doctors said she received a single shot in the chest which led to her death.
The complainant was unable to cite any reason for the suicide.
However, family sources said that the deceased was living under constant psychological pressure due to her strained relations with her husband and mother-in-law.
The relatives of the deceased have demanded a thorough probe into
Fatima’s death.
