Trio confesses to stealing 45 bikes
The paramilitary Rangers on Monday arrested a trio involved in stealing motorcycles. The gang would dismantle the stolen bikes, sell the parts in black market and dump the chassis in sewer drains or garbage dumps.
Chassis numbers are engraved on the body, therefore the thieves simply used to get rid of the carcass and earn ill-gotten money from sale of parts.
Pakistan Rangers Sindh spokesman said in a statement that a 'most wanted' motorcycle lifters group were held in separate joint operation by Pakistan Rangers and police in Landhi and Korangi on Monday.

According to Rangers spokesperson, 10 stolen motorcycles their chassis were confiscated from the possession of arrested motorcycle lifters, identified as Muhammad Shabbir, Muhammad Owais Khawaja and Shahrukh. The arrested individuals confessed during initial interrogation about stealing around 45 motorcycles from Landhi and Korangi areas, claimed the spokesperson.
The criminals would extract the parts of stolen motorcycles and dump their chassis in rainwater drains or garbage dumps, he added. He further stated that the motorcycle lifters were handed over to the police for further course of action against them.
