To celebrate the country’s 64th birthday a Quran khwani has been organised at all the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) mosques after Fajr on Sunday (today), said a press release issued on Saturday. The KPT siren and harbour vessels are set to ring at 8:58 am and the KPT chairperson will perform the flag hoisting ceremony at 9 am. He will also inspect the Port Fire Service and distribute the employee of the year award. A press release issued by the Jamshed Town administration on Saturday stated that MNA Waseem Akhtar would inaugurate the Qaba family park on August 14 (today).
