Buzdar pledges timely completion of projects

Says funds allocated for ongoing development schemes are being ensured

Punjab Finance Minister Hashim Jawan Bakht called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar to discuss the progress on ongoing development schemes at his office on Sunday.

The chief minister congratulated the provincial minister for presenting a ‘people-friendly’ budget for the current financial year. Bakht also thanked the CM for his guidance and full support in the preparation of the budget and the annual development programme (ADP).

Buzdar stated, “Punjab government is committed to the timely completion of development projects to maintain the economic growth in the province at a steady pace.” He further maintained that the availability of 100 per cent allocated funds for ongoing development schemes is being ensured.

“Funds have been released by the finance department for the ongoing schemes for the ADP of the financial year 2021-22.” The communications & works as well as other departments concerned have also instructed to accelerate the pace on the different development schemes without any delay, he highlighted.

He further said that under the Planning & Development (P&D) Department, an effective monitoring mechanism had been devised.
