Transitions: PML-N Sindh leader passes away

Zahid Rafeeq passed away at the age of 48 after a prolonged illness at the PNS Shifa Hospital.

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh chapter general secretary and senior leader Zahid Rafeeq passed away at the age of 48 after a prolonged illness at the PNS Shifa Hospital. His death was caused by a kidney failure. Butt’s political career started in 1987 with the PML-N and he served the party for 24 years. He has maintained the position of the information secretary, the additional general secretary and the general secretary and has also been an adviser to the former Sindh chief minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi. He leaves behind a widow and two children. The funeral prayers are scheduled to be held at Bilal Masjid in Saeedabad after Zuhr on Sunday (today).
