Development schemes worth Rs479b launched in city: CM

"MQM feels insecure after witnessing ongoing fast track development in city"

KARACHI:

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has said that a `rejected’ party was accusing him of ignoring Karachi in development schemes.

“As a matter of fact, Rs479 billion worth of development schemes have been launched in the city,” Shah said. He added that through the ADP, 1,072 schemes were in progress and were worth Rs991.79 billion with an allocation of Rs109.36 billion.

“The MQM feels insecure after witnessing the ongoing fast track development in the city and understand very well that they will be completely eliminated at the hands of PPP in the next general elections.”

The CM issued this statement while talking to the media just after the inauguration of the newly-constructed road from Saudabad Chowrangi to Thado Nallah- Soomar Kandani Village, including RCC Bridge at Khokhrapar-Malir under the Karachi Neighbourhood Improvement Project.

Shah said that instead of opposing the PTI, who had robbed their assembly seats in the last general election, the MQM joined them as coalition partners in the Centre.

“Now, in frustration, they have started leveling baseless allegations against the Sindh government,” the chief minister claimed.
