Ranveer Singh and Bear Grylls set to collaborate

The 'Bajirao Mastani' actor will star in a Netlfix adventure series alongside Grylls

If you love adventure television and Bollywood, sit tight because there is good news in store for you. Indian actor Ranveer Singh and adventure star Bear Grylls are all set to collaborate on an adventure series that will be available through Netflix, reported The Indian Express.

The upcoming show will mark Singh’s digital debut. According to sources, “Ranveer and Bear Grylls have been in talks for a wilderness adventure series for several months now and this adventure outing will be for Netflix. The OTT giant has almost closed the deal and we’ll see the two share screen-space for the first time for kind of adventure stunts in the wilderness thing.”

The source added, “This is the first time Ranveer will be doing something so starkly different and it is going to be one of the biggest non-fictions shows we have seen in India, also marking Ranveer’s digital debut. The actor is expected to start shooting in the next two months in Siberia. Around this time, the region is really testing and Ranveer will have to prepare hard to survive in extreme weather conditions.”

Apart from the adventure series, Singh will be seen sharing screen space with wife Deepika Padukone in sports drama ‘83 next, where the star will be seen as former cricketer Kapil Dev, with the latter playing the role of his wife Romi Bhatia. 

According to Bollywood Hungama, Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus, which features Singh and Varun Sharma in a double role with Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez as the female leads, will also feature a cameo by Padukone. The film is based on Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors but set in the 1960s. Its shooting is going on in full swing in Mumbai and the makers are expected to wrap up by next month.“Cirkus has just got bigger with the presence of Deepika Padukone. She has a special dance number in the film, alongside some conversational scenes. Her sequences are sure to bring the house down with laughter,” a source told the publication.

This would be Singh and Padukone’s second collaboration after their 2019 wedding, the first being ‘83. Singh recently lauded his wife for launching her own website. According to Hindustan Times, writing a testimony for his better half, the Bajirao Mastani actor said, "Deepika is the most amazing person I've met in my life. And I'm not just saying this because she's my wife.”
