Three killed in separate accidents

Bank manager, elderly man, woman among the deceased

Three including an elderly woman were killed in separate road accidents in the metropolis on Tuesday.

A man was killed in a traffic accident near Bahria Complex on Mai Kolachi Road in the Docks police jurisdiction.

The body was shifted to Dr Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities. SHO Docks Aijaz Memon shared that the man traveling in the car was identified as 45-year-old Rehman Arif, son of Abu Shamim Arif.

The deceased was a manager of a bank near Sohrab Goth and resided in Bath Island, Clifton. The SHO shared the deceased was going to the bank in the morning when a large vehicle suddenly slammed on its brakes.

The car of the deceased rammed into the back of the vehicle and the accident killed the manager on the spot. The SHO shared that with the help of the CCTV footage, the police were trying to identify the vehicle which caused the accident.

The police, after completing medico-legal formalities, handed over the body to the family.

Separately, a traffic incident near Habib Bank Chowrsngi in the SITE area claimed the life of an elderly man.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where it was identified as that of 72-year-old Muhammad Quraish, son of Azizur Rehman.

The deceased was a resident of Frontier Colony III in Muslim Town and hailed from Swabi. According to the police, the man died after being hit by an unidentified car. The police handed over the dead body to the family after medico-legal formalities.

Moreover, an elderly woman was killed after falling off a moving motorcycle near Gulshan-e-Bahar.

The deceased, identified as Aisha Khalil, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

According to police, Aisha was a cardiac patient. The family took the body after completion of legal procedure.
