Education dept gets new attendance system

Biometric system will also be introduced to ensure the attendance of teachers as well as the students

Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said on Monday said that a policy has been devised for the transfer and posting of the teachers which will help to improve the attendance and quality of teachers at the schools.

Moreover, a biometric system will also be introduced to ensure the attendance of teachers as well as the students, and the head master will be responsible for it.

Instead of new schools, attention will be paid to repair and improve old schools in next fiscal year budget and apart from new 117 new schemes, 186 ongoing schemes will be completed.

He expressed these views while addressing a press conference at the Sindh assembly auditorium on Monday where he was flanked by Sindh Education Secretary Ahmed Bux Narejo and Secretary Colleges Syed Khalid Haider Shah.

Ghani said that all the teaching staff can submit their applications for transfer via web portal.

The minister further shared that the link on the web portal will open from July 1, 2021, and the web portal will show schools in green zone only.

Ghani further said that the cabinet has approved the appointment policy 2021 under which amendments to appointment rules have been made.
