Five killed, as many injured in N Waziristan
Five people including two police constables have been gunned down in North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) in two days.
Police told The Express Tribune that armed men entered the house of a local resident in Datta Khel village, some 40 kilometers from Miranshah. They opened fire at Hakim Khan the house owner which killed Hakim and Khaki Rehman on the spot. The inmates also fired at the attackers killing one of them who has been identified as Naseemullah, son of Ajmal Khan. The rest of the attackers managed to escape leaving the dead body of their aide behind who was taken into possession by the locals and handed over to police. Two inmates were seriously injured in the attack who have been hospitalized.
Police said that it was premature to jump to conclusion about the nature of the attack. All the three bodies were sent for autopsy to Miranshah hospital.

A day earlier a local headmaster and two brothers, who were police constables, were gunned down in a similar fashion in Shiwa Tehsil. Police claimed that the triple murder was the result of family feud.
Police said that the local headmaster Asghar Khan was killed when armed men ambushed him on his way to school. He died on the spot. The deceased was the president of Teachers Union Waziristan known as Taleemi Islahi Jirga.
In a separate incident unknown people opened firing at Anwar Zeb and Kitabullah who were riding a bike. They were killed on the spot. Police said that both of them were police constables and brothers who had a family feud that led to their brutal murder.
DPO Shaifullah told The Express Tribune that both the constables were killed due to family feud and police has started a search and strike operation in the area.
It is worth mentioning here that three people were injured two days ago in Mir Ali when unidentified people opened firing at their vehicle. Police said that one of the injured was in a critical condition.
