Ministers launch road projects worth Rs1.04b

KARACHI:

Provincial ministers Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Jam Ikramullah Dharijo laid foundation stone of construction of 17 roads in SITE area of Karachi at a cost of Rs1.04 billion.

Sindh Minister for Information and Local Government Syed Nasir Hussain ShahShah said that foundation of an important project has been laid and added that long-standing demand of industrialist and local PPP leaders has been fulfilled today.

The minister said that 17 roads with length of 25 kilometres will be completed including two drains in the project with a PC-I cost of Rs1.03 billion.

The minister assured that all issues of industrial areas will be resolved on priority basis.

Addressing the ceremony Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce and Anti-Corruption and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo said the infrastructure of industrial zones across the province is being improved.

Earlier SITE Association Patron in Chief Zubair Motiwala said a committee comprising of two members from site Association and two members from government side constituted to monitor the development projects in the area.
