Four celebrity engagement looks we can’t get over

From low-key to all-out, here are our picks for our favourite bride-to-be looks

Let’s face it: We’re all a bit too invested in celebrity weddings. Be it the fairytale decor or the prospects of your favourite star couple finally tying the knot, the events pull us in and keep us hooked. A vital, and perhaps the most-talked about part of any desi wedding festivity is how the bride looks. From the mayoun to the valima and everything in between, celebrity fashionistas like to serve look after look, each carefully curated, and we are here for all of them!

While some choose to go the simple route, others decide to go heavy on the embellishments and sparkle. If your big day is on the horizon or if you just love bridal fashion in general, here are four recent A-list engagement looks for some major inspo.

Sajal Aly

We absolutely adore the simplicity and old-school charm of this look (and all of Sajal’s wedding looks, to be very honest). The soft pink colour is absolutely perfect for the occasion, and the dupatta draped over her head with its minimal embellishments looks ever so graceful. The Aangan actor went with rather understated jewellery, steering clear of any heavy layered necklaces or chokers, choosing instead to keep her neck bare. The delicate tika adorning her middle part ties the whole look together and we can’t stop gushing!

Sarah Khan

Sarah went the unconventional route and chose to dress herself up in bright red, a colour choice that is usually reserved for the baraat or nikkah. We really love the red embellishments on top of the red cloth, which give this outfit an elegance without making it too hotchpotch of a design. The starlet chose to drape the dupatta on her arms instead of her head, keeping the look engagement-friendly. The Raqs e Bismil actor added the finishing touches by accessorising the layered dress with small gold jhumkis and a choker.

Minal Khan

The most recent addition to this list, Minal looked every bit the princess in her mint green lehenga. We love the silver embellishments on top of the pastel, giving off the perfect summer wedding vibe. The actor decided to leave her hair half-down, with soft wisps framing her face for a romantic look and accessorised with a pearl and gold choker along with small earrings and minimal mehendi.

Saboor Aly

Saboor followed in her sister Sajal’s footsteps by choosing a similar pink outfit. However, she looked a bit more modern. The pink dress is very understated and elegant, with silver work and a plunging back. The actor left her shoulder-length hair open and opted for soft and minimal makeup, saving the big bold eyeliner and red lips for later functions. Instead of ornate bangles, she also chose to adorn her wrists with gorgeous white and pink gajray that match the bouquet in her hands. Spot on, Saboor!
