The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) seized on Wednesday the passport and mobile phones from Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Anis Advocate after officially making him a party in the investigations in line with the alleged training of party activists through Indian intelligence agency, Research and Analysis Wing.
According to CTD Deputy Inspector General Omar Shahid, Anis had been summoned last week to question him in the light of the reports prepared after interrogating arrested activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London.
Anis, however, failed to satisfy with his answers on allegedly facilitating the training of party workers through RAW, the DIG said, adding that the mobile phones and passport confiscated from the PSP leader were sent for forensic analysis to further the investigations and the procedure to block his National Identity Card was started.

He said that Anis was restricted from leaving the city or else he would be treated as an absconder.
Anis, along with MQM-Pakistan Rabita Committee head Dr Farooq Sattar, were summoned for interrogation after the CTD exposed an alleged terrorist network backed by MQM-L, in Sindh.
According to the CTD, three alleged MQM-L terrorists were arrested from near the Landhi train station in a joint operation by the CTD and Federal Investigation Agency on May 28, 2021.

A statement issued in regard with the arrests read that two of the arrested suspects, Naeem and Imran, are the senior most workers of MQM-L Hyderabad wing, who claimed Anis and Sattar's involvement in linking them with RAW.
Naeem was the joint in-charge of the party's Sindh organising committee and was involved in forming a group of six military trained members to kill opponent group members and organising other terror activities, as per the orders they received from South Africa.
