Teenage girl among six injured in armed clash
What started off as a fight between children culminated in an armed clash between two families that left six people, including a teenage girl, injured in the precincts of Saddar police station on Saturday.
Rescue 1122 teams reached the site and shifted the injured to Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH).
According to details learnt by The Express Tribune, some children fought last night which resulted in a clash between opposing parties after Eid prayers.
A police spokesperson said firing and use of sticks during the altercation left seven people injured including a 13-year-old girl identified as Aruba.
Rescue 1122 spokesperson said the other injured were Muhammad Rasheed and Irfan, 40, Bilal, 19, Shaukat, 38, Nisar, 44, and Muhammad Arif aged 35 years.
The police spokesperson said that the Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) had ordered the SSP Operations and the Saddar SP to reach the site and probe into the incident.
He added that separate cases have been registered against both families.
