IHC to hear appeals of Sharif, Maryam on May 24

The appeals of Sharif, Maryam and Captain (retd) Safdar will be heard on the same day

ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed May 24 for hearing of appeals against the sentences of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz supremo Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz in the National Accountability Bureau references. A division bench of IHC comprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani will hear Sharif in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references and Maryam in the Avenfield reference.

The next hearing on the appeals will be on May 24. Earlier, the court issued a brief verbal order adjourning the hearing till the last week of May. The appeals of Sharif, Maryam and Captain (retd) Safdar will be heard on the same day. NAB’s appeal for increasing Sharif’s sentence in the Al-Azizia reference will also be heard on the same day.
