Regional Relations: Iran, Pakistan to further strengthen ties

Strong bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Iran must be manifested.

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairperson Farooq H Naek said on Thursday that strong bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Iran must be manifested through closer parliamentary contacts. He underlined the need for more frequent parliamentary exchanges and said this  will help promote better understanding of each other’s culture and systems. “Strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood exist between Pakistan and Iran. We are bound together by centuries-old ties of history, culture and religion, which will be strengthened further,” he said.  Naek was speaking to Chairman Pak-Iran Friendship Group Ali Akber Agaee and Head of Development Commission Majlis Shura Islami, at the Parliament House, Islamabad.
