Masses ignore SOPs in Peshawar
Despite the record number of deaths during the third wave of the Covid-19 infection, there is no awareness among the general public who are not following the SOPs.
The provincial government as well as the district administration and police are unable to make people strictly observe the SOPs due to the lack of coordination and planning.
Around 80 percent people don’t wear masks while going to market places and even the policemen themselves don’t wear masks. On Saturday despite the announcement of a lockdown some markets inside the old walled city remained open.
