NUML, ICCI sign MoU to promote industry-academia linkage
The National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote the industry-academia linkage.
As per the MoU, both institutions will work together to promote research culture in industry to boost industrialisation in the region and produce demand-driven graduates for the industry.
The MoU was signed by NUML Pro-Rector Research and Strategic Initiatives Dr Zubair Iqbal and ICCI President Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan in a ceremony held at NUML.
NUML Rector Major General (retd) Muhammad Jaffar, Director-General Pro-Rector Planning and Resources Brig Muhammad Badr Malik, Pro-Rector Academics Prof Safeer Awan, deans and directors also witnessed the signing ceremony.

NUML Rector Major General Muhammad Jaffar HI (M) (Retd), during the meeting with the ICCI president, said it was the time to introduce research culture in our industry. "Through research, we could achieve the future demands of our industry and to attain this academia-industry linkage need to be strengthened."
President ICCI Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan said thousands of industrial units functioning in the capital could facilitate NUML students in their internships and projects.
