The Memon Goth Police have arrested four persons on charges of raping a 14-year-old girl and filming her after the girl, H's* father approached the police and got an FIR registered in connection with the matter.
The FIR has been registered under Sections 376 (II), 34 and 506 of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997 on behalf of H's father. The Anti-Violent Crime Cell has been assigned the investigation of the case.
According to Memon Goth SHO Khalid Abbasi, the four persons nominated in the FIR, namely Adeel, Muzammil, Subhan and Ariz, are also teenagers, between the ages of 14 and 15.
He said they allegedly called H to a house in Memon Goth on January 13 and gang-raped her. It has also been reported that they had held the girl at gunpoint and threatened her to stay silent on the matter, he added.
The matter came to the fore when a video of the girl getting raped went viral on social media.
H's father told the police he heard rumours of his daughter getting gang-raped and a video of her getting raped was shared on a neighbour's Whatsapp. He said he asked his daughter about the matter and she told him that the four persons named in the FIR subjected her to rape. Of them, Adeel filmed her.
