Ali Amin Gandapur, the Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, has once again stirred controversy after footage of him enjoying a ride with his minor son at the wheel of a jeep went viral.

The video spread like wildfire with Pakistani Twitter lashing out at the minister for letting the boy, who was clearly underage, drive the four wheeler.

However, Gandapur responded on Twitter saying his son was driving the car on fields owned by him while citing that,"No law was broken as traffic laws only apply on roads, motorways and highways."

"Firstly traffic law applies on roads, highways or motorways so no law is violated, upgrade your knowledge. Secondly, it’s my own land, my own vehicle, and my own son," the minister wrote in response to the video posted by journalist Mansoor Ali Khan.

Gandapur can be seen sitting on the passenger seat capturing the video of the boy driving his car.

Under-age driving is illegal in Pakistan with only those aged 18 years and above applicable to get a driving licence.
