Uthal police seize crystal meth, cocaine

Police seized a huge quantity of drugs in an intelligence based operation and arrested three suspected drug traffickers in Uthal city of Balochistan’s Lasbela district on Saturday. While addressing a press conference, Senior Superintendent Police Lasbela Tariq Elahi Mastoi said the operation carried out near Wayrao, during which Uthal Police seized a huge cache of drugs including 340kg crystal meth and 20kg cocaine from a vehicle. The drugs were hidden in cans to be smuggled to Karachi through Awaran road and but the timely effort of police thwarted the major attempt of smuggling, he added. The SSP added that the cost of the seized drugs is approximately millions of rupees in the international market. A case has been registered against the accused persons and their interrogation is underway
