KARACHI:

The Sindh High Court directed the National Accountability Bureau on Wednesday to file a reference against Sindh Prisons Advisor Aijaz Jakhrani in connection with an inquiry initiated against him in the education works department and submit a report by April 28.

A two-member bench, comprising Justice KK Agha and Justice Abdul Mobeen Lakho, issued the directives during the hearing of the bail plea filed by Jakhrani, who did not appear before the court.

Irked by his absence, the court warned of cancelling his interim bail if he failed to appear before the court at the next hearing.

At that, Jakhrani's lawyer informed the court that his client was in Sukkur for another high court hearing before the Sukkur bench.
