Flats construction on small plots gets RDA nod

Governing body approves apartments for authority’s employees

RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has approved the construction of 48-feet high apartment buildings on 10-marla or 300-square yard plots.

The 53rd meeting of the RDA governing body held under RDA Chairman Tariq Mehmood Murtaza also approved the construction of an official apartment building for employees of RDA.

The body gave a nod for enhancing administrative powers of the authority’s director-general regarding approval of housing schemes.

The meeting also approved an amendment to the registration and renewal fee with regard to practising town planner, practising architect, practising resident engineer, structure engineer and practising structure vetting engineer.

RDA Director General Abdul Sattar Isani gave a detailed briefing on the agenda items before the governing body.

The meeting approved the appointment of officers and employees as an individual consultant and professional for different directorates of RDA.

It also gave an official nod to the revision and enhancement of the transfer fee schedule for the transfer of RDA properties in various housing schemes. The meeting revised rates of scrutiny fee for the sub-division of residential plots.
