RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi police have issued a sketch of the suspect who allegedly killed Civil Lines SHO Inspector Imran Abbas two weeks ago. The authorities have asked the citizens to inform the police if they know about the whereabouts of the suspect, Chaudhry Zahid.

Police had identified the suspects, Zahid and Shahid, through closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage. Shahid was killed in a shootout at a police cordon on March 11 while Zahid had managed to flee.

Police have conducted several raids on his house near Bakra Mandi Chowk and Mira Kalan on Chakri Road but to no avail. Therefore, they released wanted sketch of the suspect.

“Police will approach the court to set head money for the absconder in the murder case,” a spokesperson said.

Presently, police have asked the people to provide any information about the suspect to Potohar SP or SHOs of Civil Lines or Morgah police stations.
