RAWALPINDI:

A teenage boy was electrocuted while passing by a high voltage pole in the Paryal area on Saturday.

According to details, the 15-year-old, who was a class 8 student, was passing by a high voltage electric pole from which he was electrocuted.

The victim died instantaneously while his body was severely charred.

The police moved the body to the district headquarters hospital (DHQ) for a post-mortem examination. After the autopsy, the body was handed over to the victim’s family.

The locals told The Express Tribune that the deceased father had passed away in a road accident two months ago.

They added that the wiring was passing through the Paryal area to supply power to the land owned by an influential personality. The residents said that they filed numerous complaints with IESCO to remove the high voltage wires but to no avail.

The locals said they would file a murder case against the power supply company and would stage a protest if they were not served justice.
