‘Over 29m families will be provided healthcare’

Minister says 32,000 paramedical staff provided jobs

Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said by the end of this year all 29.3 million families in the province will be provided healthcare services and 32,000 doctors, nurses and paramedical staff has been provided jobs She expressed these views during an oath-taking ceremony of the office-bearers of the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) in Kasur on Friday. The office-bearers of the PMA thanked the Health Minister and appreciated her services for the department.

The ceremony was held in the Tehsil Council Hall District Kasur. Speaking to the participants the health minister said, “I congratulate the new officebearers of the PMA Kasur. The PMA has always worked for the welfare of doctors. The new team shall play an important role in good quality health services to the people of Kasur. As per the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan we are trying to improve healthcare services in Punjab hospitals. “Punjab is developing stateof-the-art mother and child hospitals. A 650-bed mother and child hospitals is being developed. The new 1,000- bed cardiology hospital in Dera Ghazi Khan is a blessing for the people of the area. Doctors, nurses and paramedical staff played exemplary services during the Corona Pandemic.” Later, responding to queries of journalists she said that bargains were made by the opposition in Senate elections.
