Punjab Police have registered a case against seven persons, including a lawyer and arrested one of them for allegedly targeting a woman over a monetary dispute near Darul Ehsan Colony, Narwala Road.
Police also arrested an 80-year-old man in the case. Saba Noorin, a resident of Darul Ehsan Colony Ghulam Mohammad Abad, filed a case in the Women Police Station, stating that Sadiq Ali advocate, Sideeq, Ustad Rashid, Haji Allah Ditta, Rana Saeed, Mohammad Akmal, Saeed and Saleem tortured her after she demanded refund of money. Police registered a case against the suspects under sections 354, 337A1, 337L2, 147 and 149.
The woman had protested at the hospital over not getting medical and legal help. The suspect Ustad Rashid nominated in the case is said to be 80 years old.
