RAWALPINDI:

The Regional Police Officer (RPO) Imran Ahmar visited the police constable who was injured from firing by drug peddlers in Jhelum.

RPO reached the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Rawalpindi and met the injured constable. RPO Ahmar awarded a cash prize and commendation certificate to the injured constable and inspected the treatment being provided.

The police spokesperson said that a few days earlier, Constable Salahuddin sustained serious bullet injuries as a result of firing by alleged drug dealer Raja Haseen in the Shumali neighbourhood. He was shifted to the DHQ Rawalpindi for treatment.

The RPO said the brave and hardworking police personnel were the assets of Rawalpindi police who did not care about their lives in the line of duty.

"The brave personnel stand firm before the criminal elements," he added. Ahmed assured that the department would not leave such policemen alone during hardship.
