According to sources, former policeman Abdul Moiz was arrested near the Lady Garden area as the Excise police seized 200 grammes of ice meth on him. Excise Inspector Naseem Khan conducted a raid based on a tip-off and arrested Moiz, said a statement.
Police also registered a case against the suspect under the anti-narcotics act. Moiz had been terminated from the service a year ago on charges of drug smuggling, the statement added.
In another raid, Khan arrested Amir Shah, a resident of Darra Adam Khail, who has allegedly been involved in smuggling drugs for a long time, the statement said, adding that 800 grammes of heroin were found in his possession.
