Four more lawyers booked, sent to Adiala

They were allegedly involved in the Islamabad High Court attack and the session court attack

ISLAMABAD:

An anti-terrorism court on Friday sent four more lawyers allegedly involved in the attack on the Islamabad High Court and the session court attack to Adiala Jail on a seven-day judicial remand.

The Crime Investigation Agency of the Islamabad police produced Sardar Najam Abbas in an FIR related to the attack on the session court while District Bar Association Secretary Liaqat Manzor Kambo, Khalid Mehmood and Muhammad Umer were produced over the attack on the IHC.

The investigation officer requested the court to send the suspects on a 14-day judicial remand. "The investigation has been completed and there is no need of conducting any further probe," the court was informed.

The court ordered sending the four suspects to Adalia jail on a seven-day remand and reproduce them in the court on February 19 along with seeking the record of the case from the police.
