Yasra Rizvi wishes husband birthday with a heartfelt note

Four years on, the couple is blissfully married and the actor pens the sweetest note for her husband's birthday!

Entertainment Desk February 12, 2021

Pakistani actor Yasra Rizvi recently made headlines for her acting prowess in the critically-acclaimed web-series Churails. Just like for her role in the Asim Abbasi drama, she was later called out for her character in her recent project, Dunk.

Produced by Fahad Mustafa and starring Bilal Abbas Khan, Sana Javed and Naumaan Ijaz, the show highlights the plight of a person who was wrongly accused of sexual harassment. Rizvi plays the supportive wife of the accused and was met with trolling for taking up a 'problematic' and 'regressive' project after a show such as Churails.

However, she remained unhinged.

The actor is no stranger to criticism. In 2017, when she tied the knot with Abdul Hadi, an aspiring producer, she received much hate for the so-called age gap. Four years on, the couple is blissfully married. And now, the actor is penning the sweetest note for his birthday!

"'I have made my peace with life' says Abdul Hadi," she wrote with an adorable picture with her husband. "Happy Birthday and thank you for being with me, letting me be and loving me in spite of me but then again you are smart enough to have made your peace with life.So young and so wise, you are truly one of a kind! May you have many more prosperous years ahead."

How cute!

Setting the record straight

When the chatter about her marriage made much noise on social media, the actor had shut down haters in a short video clip. The actor commenced by saying she had been warned against posting a reply online by her well-wishers.

"I believe it is imperative to post this video since my marriage has sparked a debate. This, I highly appreciate. There were people who appreciated the age gap between my husband and I, others were not so supportive." she had said.

Rejecting assertions that this was just a publicity gimmick she had went on to add, "I have plenty of fame. My five-year television career is free of blemish. Also, my husband is finishing his MBA and does not work so he can't afford to pay me a dime as mehr."

"If I decided to set a precedent by having a simple wedding, asking my husband to regularly offer Fajr prayers as mehr, how does it affect anyone else? Criticism on this account has left me dumbfounded," the actor had commented.
