Sanaullah seeks exemption from court appearance

Says he had to attend session of National Assembly

LAHORE:

An anti-Narcotics court judge admitted application filed by PMLN Punjab president Rana Sanaullah, allegedly involved in drug peddling case, seeking exemption from appearance on plea that he had to attend session of the National Assembly.

In previous proceedings the judge had fixed February 4 (yesterday) with direction to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) prosecutor to provide the visible copies of witness’s ‘boiled statements’ to accused Sanaullah.

As per the FIR registered by Deputy Director Operations Anti-Narcotics Force on July 1, 2019 (Monday) under sections 186,189, and 353 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) while sections 15, 17 of 9C of the CNSA 1997 against aforementioned states that the ANF received information that Rana Sanaullah is involved in drug smuggling and now he is taking heroin to Lahore. At which the ANF arranged a raiding team consisting of 21 ANF’s officials.
