Opposition lawmakers came down hard on Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf-led (PTI) government to increase petroleum products prices and blamed held flawed policies for bringing the country on “the edge of destruction”.
The lawmakers also grilled the government over not spending funds, on the construction of universities, collected in the name of Covid-19.
However, provincial minister Yasir Hamayun replied that the funds saved in coronavirus relief fund.
Speaking on price hike in petroleum products as well as other food items, the PML-N and PPP lawmakers grilled the government over leading the country without any destination.
PPP’s parliamentary leader Syed Hassan Murtaza said that the prices of petroleum products were increased for five times across the country, electricity rates were increased twice and four hundred times of gas. No one knows what the PTI government wanted to do and which direction the country is being driven.

PPP MPA Murtaza questioned the credibility of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, saying his lawmakers have no confidence on him.
He quoting recent development of Dawood Sulemani said Sulemani developed his group which means the PTI’s lawmakers have no confidence in the ongoing policies of the province.
