Pindi police arrest 68 kite sellers

Separate cases were registered against all the accused while further investigation is underway

RAWALPINDI:

The Rawalpindi Police rounded up 68 people involved in kite flying and selling while recovering 42,220 kites and 2,020 kite flying string rolls across the district, a spokesperson shared on Sunday.

Following the directives of the City Police Officer (CPO) Ahsan Younas, police launched a crackdown against people involved in kite selling and flying.

He said that Potohar Police arrested 46 individuals and recovered 23,598 kites along with 257 string rolls while Saddar Police rounded up four people and seized 185 kites as well as five string rolls.

Similarly, Rawal Police conducted raids in different areas and arrested 18 kite sellers for possessing 18,721 kites and 1,957 string rolls. Separate cases were registered against all the accused while further investigation is underway.
