Administration imposes fine of Rs54,000 over Covid-19 related SOP violations

The city district administration on Wednesday sealed 69 businesses including shops, stores, restaurants and imposed a fine of Rs54,000 over coronavirus related standard operating procedures (SOPs) violations.

According to the spokesperson for the district administration, Assistant Commissioner (AC) Model Town Zeeshan Ranjha sealed 10 restaurants and cafes in Model Town area while AC Raiwind sealed 10 shops in his jurisdiction.

AC Shalimar Mansoor Ahmed Qazi sealed at least 16 shops and imposed Rs29,000 fine over SOPs violation.

Moreover, AC Cantt Sakhi Shakir sealed 12 shops, two restaurants in Cantt area and slapped a fine of Rs15,000 on profiteers and Rs10,000 on flouting SOPs.
