Egypt keen to cooperate in tourism

Bukhari reaffirmed the government’s commitment to attracting tourists from across the world

ISLAMABAD:

Egypt has expressed keen interest in forging cooperation with Pakistan in the tourism sector as its envoy called for increasing people-to-people contacts between the two countries to promote this vital area of economy. In a meeting with Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Syed Zulfikar Bukhari on Wednesday, both sides explored avenues of further enhancing bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector, particularly through promotion of people-to-people ties. The SAPM, who also heads the National Tourism Coordination Board, apprised Ambassador Tarek Dahrough of steps being taken by the government of Pakistan to boost tourism. He also spoke about the government’s plan to launch a tourism-friendly project, called Brand Pakistan, soon. Bukhari reaffirmed the government’s commitment to attracting tourists from across the world by facilitating them in all possible ways.
