Nicl Scam: FIA, Elahi called to court
The counsel for Elahi, told the court that his client had nothing to do with the NICL scam
LAHORE:
A district and sessions judge on Tuesday, issuing a notice to the Federal Investigation Agency authorities, adjourned the hearing on the acquittal plea of Moonis Elahi, the main accused in the National Insurance Corporation Ltd (NICL) scam till August 11. The counsel for Elahi, told the court that his client had nothing to do with the NICL scam and all witnesses against him had changed their statements. He asked the court to acquit his client. The court summoned the Federal Investigation Agency officials and Elahi on the next hearing date of hearing, August 11. The court accepted the bail application of two other accused, bank managers, Khalil Ahmad and Rizwan Bhatti, for hearing and issued notices to the authorities concerned.
